De regering meent dat er sprake is van 'terrorisme' bedreven door een militante tak van de Islamitische bevolkingsgroep de Rohingya's, de zgn. ARSA militie (Arakanese Rohingya Salvation Army). Deze 'terroristen' zouden gesteund worden door Saoedi-Arabië. Het reguliere leger treedt hier hard tegen op. Zo hard dat grote delen van de bevolking op de vlucht zijn geslagen en hun heil proberen te zoeken in het buurland Bangladesh. Het is nog niet geheel duidelijk wat zich daar exact afspeelt. Wel is zeker dat er sprake is van een menselijk drama. Duizenden mensen zijn op de vlucht voor het extreem gewelddadig leger van Myanmar.

Het leger van Myanmar wordt bevoorraad vanuit Israel. Deze steun hoeft niet te verbazen. Beide landen hebben een regiem dat gekenmerkt wordt door 'Etnische Suprematie' en ernstige rassendiscriminatie

The United States and the European Union have imposed an arms embargo on Myanmar. It’s unclear whether the cause was ignorance, and Lieberman is not fully informed about Israel’s arms exports (even though he must approve them), or an attempt at whitewashing.
In terms of history, as well, Lieberman’s claim is incorrect. Israel supported war crimes in Argentina, for example, even when the country was under a U.S. embargo, and it armed the Serbian forces committing massacres in Bosnia despite a United Nations embargo.

I The first Rabin Government (1974-1977) did not balk at hosting Apartheid South Africa’s Prime Minister John Vorster in April 1976. He had been a member of a pro-Nazi group during World War II. The visit was part of Israel’s security relations with the apartheid regime. During his visit, Vorster laid a wreath at Yad Vashem.
The apartheid regime tried to develop chemical weapons that would harm black Africans only, including the fertility of African women.

Documents in the South African archives, uncovered by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and investigative journalist Sasha Polakow-Suransky, reveal that the director of this project, Wouter Basson, also known as Dr. Death, visited Israel in 1979. Basson sent his representatives to additional visits to Israel for consultations with Israeli security officials, with Israeli representatives even taking part in a conference, as part of this mad plan, which was held in South Africa in 1986.

IV In the 70s and 80s,Israeli governments sold arms to the military regimes in Bolivia. One of the senior figures in the Bolivian junta’s security establishment, which cast terror on the indigenous population, was senior Nazi criminal Klaus Barbie, head of the Gestapo in Lyon, who was nicknamed “The Butcher of Lyon.”
V In the 70s and 80s, Israeli governments and IDF officers sold arms and training to the juntas in Guatemala, which carried out a genocide of around 200,000 people, most of them indigenous.
VI/VII Between 1991-1995, the second Rabin Government sold arms used in both the Rwandan Genocide and the Bosnian War. As early as mid-1992, reports and footage of concentration camps set up by the Serbs for Bosnian Muslims began to emerge. Detainees in these camps were starved and tortured, and their bodies were thrown to the animals.
Additional findings attested to the existence of rape camps, where Serbs held Muslim and Croatian women. Yet Israeli arms exports did not stop. At a Knesset hearing on August 5th 1992, Foreign Minister Shimon Peres confirmed that acts of massacre had indeed been carried out, but repeatedly refused to assign responsibility to Serbian criminals affiliated with Israel.
VIII In the summer of 2016, the Netanyahu Government sold weapons and provided training to the Burmese (Myanmar) special forces, who are committing crimes against humanity in Rakhine State, against the Muslim Rohingya minority. Women and girls are being raped; civilians are being tortured, murdered, and disappeared. Security forces employ “scorched earth” methods, while civilian property is looted and entire villages are going up in flames, some set ablaze by rockets aimed at residential houses.
IX In September 2016, it was revealed that Israel is trying, through the U.S. and European states, to ensure the lifting of sanctions against Sudan, following the latter’s abandonment of its alliance with Iran. This took place although no one can deny that Sudanese dictator Omar al-Bashir — wanted by the International Criminal Court for the genocide in Darfur — continues to commit grave crimes.

In reality, these laws have been rendered null and void by the IDF, the Ministry of Defense, Israeli arms dealers, and senior Israeli officials. Thus, the state attorney announced that he would not open a criminal investigation into Israeli security exports to Rwanda during the genocide there in 1994, or into the delivery of Galil-Ace rifles used for crimes against humanity in South Sudan in December 2013, or for selling arms and training used for crimes against humanity by the Pinochet regime in Chile.

WAAROM?
Tijdens de ambtsperiode van President Carter (1971-1974) waren er uitgebreide wapenleveranties aan Argentinië. Een land met een duister Nazi verleden en bekend om zijn vervolgingen van Joden. Washington uitte zijn verbazing over de bereidheid van Israel om met een dergelijk Antisemitisch regime zaken te doen. Een reactie van Israel is mij niet bekend.
Waarom deden de Israëliërs deze leveringen aan landen die t.o.v. de Joodse Gemeenschap een uiterst dubieuze rol hebben gespeeld.
Het eenvoudigste antwoord is:
"Pecunia non Olet".

Maar is dat voldoende verklaring? Waarschijnlijk wel. Banale verklaringen zijn vaak waar. Toch probeer ik diepte in dit gebeuren te vinden.

Het is tevens onvermijdelijk dat over de gruweldaden, tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog begaan, uitgebreid wordt gesproken al dan niet vergezeld van een bezoek aan een van de concentratiekampen. Atzmon ontkent niet dat het verleden van invloed zal zijn op geestelijke gezondheid van de Joodse Gemeenschap, maar hij veronderstelt dat de angst voor de toekomst een grotere impact heeft: “The fact that a few scholars base their analysis of Israel identity on some sort of collective Jewish trauma doesn’t mean that Jews are indeed traumatised by their past. It is far more likely that they are traumatised by their imaginary future”.
Hij spreekt daarom ook van Pre-Traumatic Stress Syndrome (Pre-TSS): “Pre-TSS is a fundamental tenet of Jewish and Israeli culture. Young Israelis are transported to Auschwitz by different Zionist organisations for the purpose of maturing into traumatised Jewish adults. Those who maintain these ‘educational’ trips know that trauma is a powerful fuel with which to maintain the Zionist narrative". De jonge mensen worden zelfs weggehouden van de lokale bevolking omdat je je niet moet inlaten met potentiele antisemieten. Unfortunately, the Israeli youngsters implement the wrong lesson once they return and join the IDF (Israel Defense Force). Of er nu sprake is van een Paranoide stoornis of van een Pre-Traumatic Stress Syndrome is minder relevant, relevant is dat er binnen de Joodse Gemeenschap een toestand van geestelijke ontwrichting/verwarring rondwaart, die gesteund/gesanctioneerd lijkt wordt door een gecorrumpeerd politiek systeem van de enige Grootmacht op dit moment de Verenigde Staten.

Israeli society is big on issues but only small in terms of its population. It becomes smaller when we consider only the Jewish sector, which comprises around 80% of all Israeli citizens. Most of these are Zionist Jews, from the left and the right, religious and non-religious, well-to-do and poor, coming from various countries of origin. I refer to this group as the Zionist Israeli Collective (ZIC) and I will analyze this group as if it were a single individual. The validity of such an analysis has been discussed by thinkers such as Carl Jung, Wilfred Bion, Emile Durkheim, and Elias Canetti.
Such a disorder occurs when one can neither forget the trauma nor work it through; in other words, in order to recover the PTSD sufferer has to accept whatever elements have been repressed and overcome the psychological resistance to exploring them. In the case of the group, if the traumatic event retained in the collective memory is not worked through, in time it becomes ritualized and codified as part of the collective identity. The group relates to the trauma it experienced and survived as a founding event of its society. This is what happened in the case of the State of Israel.
The Jewish large group had neither the time nor the opportunity to recover from the trauma of the Holocaust – or to cope with the overwhelming aggression hidden within its psyche – between the events of the Holocaust and the founding of the State of Israel. As a result, the ZIC remains in an unresolved post-traumatic condition which, among other things, results in its admiration of power, stemming from identification with the aggressor.
The ZIC minimizes the humanity of non-Jews, especially in the case of Palestinian citizens of Israel, by including ethnicity and religion on ID documents and by conducting a policy that discriminates against them in respect of all their civil rights: in education, housing, employment, social mobility. In the occupied Palestinian territory violations of human rights include targeted assassinations, deportations, house demolitions, restricted mobility, extensive administrative detentions, torture and the creation of ethnically-sealed ghettos like the Gaza Strip.
These policies are coupled with a deep contempt for the weak, the loser, and the fleeing refugee. The image of the weak passive victim serves as an unbearable reminder to Jewish Israelis of the mythical, codified and painful aspect of the Holocaust that rendered Jews passive, weak and defenseless, with no army to protect them. It is my contention that the ZIC cannot forgive itself for what happened in Europe in World War II, and transfers its unforgiving contempt to those who are now the weak ones – the occupied Palestinians and those asylum seekers fleeing Eritrea and Sudan who end up in Israel.
However, the strong conqueror still perceives of himself as a persecuted victim. This sense of victimhood is a cornerstone of the ZIC identity. The victim feels persecuted and lonely.
The evil and cruelty within him/her are denied and projected onto the enemy, thus transforming the weak enemy into a mighty persecutor.I saw the same phenomena time and again in my psychotherapy practice, especially in treating couples and families.
However, the strong conqueror still perceives of himself as a persecuted victim. This sense of victimhood is a cornerstone of the ZIC identity. The victim feels persecuted and lonely.
Being a victim in one’s own eyes can serve as justification for every wrongdoing to another person.
